Despite "soft opening hours" saying they were closed this past Sunday, I ventured to this new bakery with dining companion and partner in crime, JP. As it turns out, the people at Paneterie have figured out a LOT (including the need for a street cafe/bakery that doesn't rhyme w/ "tarbucks"). What was awesome: the quiche. Quiche provencale to be precise. I wanted to build a little quiche house out of this thing. And live in it. Goat cheese, tomato slices, some kind of amazing prosciutto... and a crusty, herby rosemary top. It was beyond fabulous along with the side salad. Still awesome, but not houseworthy: everything else. The raspberry jam-filled croissants were decadent, oozing berry goodness. JP's blueberry muffin thing disappeared in a violent gulp and a big smile. The case was filled with all sorts of loverly baked items that I wanted to try, but couldn't bring myself to order all in one sitting. The thought did cross my mind, though. Lots of stars for the atmosphere, too. Loved the old-timey tiled floors, fonts and all. It was almost like Pistache (another local fave) designed and opened a bakery... oh wait... A-OK was the service and the coffee. Oceana is a local roaster and Paneterie uses their coffee exclusively. Yay for locally sourced coffee, but boo for Oceana. They haven't quite figured out coffee, so the coffee ends up a little acidic for my taste. I'm picky about my coffee. I can never give 5 stars based on a single visit, so we'll be back Paneterie. I suspect you'll grab that last star and end up on the "Bestest of Everything" list in no time...

Rustic French sandwich can fix any bad day at the office. Fast and friendly and high quality. Great coffee and breakfast as well. We try and go there at least once a week.

Judging only by two breakfast/brunch pieces and their organic tea + San Pellegrino sodas, I'd say it's a great place! The croissant was light and fluffy, as it should be and croque monsieur was tasty as well. Music and atmosphere is matching with the looks and the server's positive and kind attitude. Edit: We just had a few of their macaroons and they're simply fantastic! A must-have. Chocolate, caramel and piña colada are what we tried. GET SOME!

Good Almond Croissant. Also tried the croque monsier. Although it was good, it was far from authentic, i guess it was the chefs version

I work in downtown West Palm Beach and I went there for the first time. The Napoleon was to die for just like the one I have had in Europe and Morocco. The staff was friendly and I will go back again and again for breakfast and lunch. Viva Palm Beach.

I've tried their dinner, dessert, and breakfast. The breakfast sandwich is baked egg square with cheese on croissant. Good but too buttery to eat this on a regular basis- it got my hands and steering wheel all buttered up. You can order it with baguette instead. Coffee here is great but it is brewed ahead of time and left in a thermos, not better than subculture, which I also got to compare together. Both coffees are good but subculture has some extra flavors, paneterie coffee tastes charred like a dark roast, but maybe that is just the taste of leaving coffee in a thermos, not sure. I really liked the italian sandwich I had for dinner. Great baguette bread with a simple sandwich of moz, basil, tomato, olive oil, and balsamic. This is something I could come back for. The desserts taste amazing and are crafted with an impressive level of detail. Prices not that expensive. Definitely come here for dinner and dessert. Would be 5 stars if I didn't have to go somewhere else for coffee.

...I went again and once again the bathroom is out of order including even washing your hands in the sink...luckily there is a Starbucks a few doors down with working facilities which I went to. No bathroom no Coffee.

At best the food is a 6 out of 10. The staff is knowledgeable but the pastries just aren't that good. I've been to France. I've been to Italy, and if they consider this fresh, than that's wrong. It just wasn't very good. Not worth the price.

Went to Paneterie with my husband for the first time on Wednesday just to check it out. Wow I am so glad we did, the girl who worked there recommended the iced cappuccino. Wiry at first never having tried an iced cappuccino it was amazing to my dismay. The expresso was so smooth and delcious, they even chilled the foam so it doesn't water down your drink. We enjoyed the iced cappuccino so much we decided to go back on Saturday. I had the brie sandwich on a baguette which was beautifully paired with a fig preserve, golden raisens, and walnuts. My husband had a panini the caprese to be exact it had fresh mozerella, tomato, basil and a balsamic drizzle. The food was so fresh the basil still had crunch to it. It's as if they plucked it right from the plant. With all that being said we could not leave without trying one of there desserts. We chose the raspberry key lime tout, one word amazing! The key lime was so tart and the raspberries were as fresh as ever. Last but not least do not leave without trying one of there french macaroons the chocolate was so rich and fudgy. Yum yum yum. We will definitely be regulars at this spot. This is exactly what clematis needed a little slice of Paris in our back yard just one bite and it's like your transported to another world.
